Since 1987 our company has provided consulting services to Restaurateurs, Retailers, Microbreweries, Brewpubs and Winemakers. In addition to helping many entrepreneurs establish their own successful business, Carafe International has developed several of its own concepts.  This has afforded our group with extensive and valuable hands-on experience in a wide range of operations issues.

From its inception, the Carafe group has been led by its President, Stewart Petrie, Stewart has developed, owned and managed a number of successful business in the food and beverage, retail and wholesale sectors. His wide range of experience and expertise has been sought after by small business entrepreneurs for specialized start-ups or for improving their existing operation's bottom line.

In 1990, Stewart assembled a tem of experts to address the needs of the emerging brew-on-premise business.  A unique concept with advanced equipment design and operating system was developed and marketed under the name Brew Kettle™. in 1993, the Brew Kettle facilities expanded their operations with the introduction of their highly successful winemaking program.  These businesses have continued to flourish for twenty years!

Recognizing the tremendous potential of winemaking stores dedicated solely to quality wine products and specialized services, Carafe WineMakers™was established in 1996. Carafe™ soon grew to become a leader among winemaking shops in Ontario. Carafe ferment-on-premise Licensees benefit from a well-established and proven business format, substantial volume purchases, and creative marketing support while still enjoying the freedom of their own independent business.

Carafe Wine Makers™ USA was established in response to many requests from American entrepreneurs who could see the timing was right for their own boutique winery.  These independent Micro Wineries operate under the Carafe Wine Makers banner as they explore wholesale and private labeling opportunities in addition to online wine and custom label sales, wine tasting events and the retailing of wine from their shops.

Carafe Wine Makers™ Mexico opened in 2006 to meet the rise in wine consumption among the emerging middle class. As the forerunner in the Mexican MicroWinery business, Carafe Mexico now has three outlets and expects steady future expansion in this growing market.
